Loving Discipline

LOVING DISCIPLINE

This is more than just a course—it’s a journey that transforms both you and your child. You’ll learn about the brain, how it develops, and how it affects your child at each stage in life. Together, we’ll explore the deeper ‘whys’ behind not only our child’s actions but also our own.

We all want to become better parents. Let’s do this!

THE COURSE CREATORS.

STEPHANIE UNALE

I’m a mom of two very energized little boys and I have a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. Before I was a mom, I worked for several years with families in childhood development and parental education. I was in the trenches. I thought I would have this parenting thing down.

But, as my kiddos grew, I often found myself faced with my young son defying every word I was saying. I’m getting mad and he’s getting madder because neither of us is getting what we want.

I hated screaming at my children but some of the techniques I learned in school and taught in the field, didn’t seem to help.

I call this a God thing because I wouldn’t have been able to do this on my own. I remembered that years ago, I watched a documentary called Innsaei. It was my first exposure to the MindUp program that had taken off in the UK. It teaches children behavioral modification through mindfulness and self-regulation.

I wanted to add Jesus’ teachings into the behavioral modifications so He can be the true guiding light with my children. I’ve been able to help my children (and myself) learn how to handle their big emotions instead of whining, screaming, or crying. I’ve seen proof they can listen, and understand how they are feeling and how to cope with it.

I’ve discovered peace is possible in the middle of chaos. We just have to have the right tools and the willingness to use them.

I am so grateful to share this journey with you!

Huge appreciation to her brother, Chikk Myers, who believed in Stephanie and this project, and to her sister Karen Harman, whose brilliant feedback made all the difference between good and great.

Finally, to her beloved daughter Sophie Elsa Goldstein. If only Loving Discipline had been a tool when she was little!
